Himachal Pradesh Government has promoted Aarti Gupta, Additional Director of Information & Public Relations as New Director of the department .

The notification in this regard was issued by Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena on Thursday.

It is nearly after a decade the state government has promoted an incumbent Additional Director to the post of Director Public Relations (DPR) of HP Government; all other persons to occupy the post were from IAS cadre. Last person to occupy the chair of the DPR, promoted from within the department, was BD Sharma, who retired in December 2012.
