Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today inaugurated sub tehsil at Bagga Chanogi in Seraj Assembly constituency represented by him through video conferencing from Shimla.
Thakur also laid foundation stones of six developmental projects worth Rs 12.52 crore for the area which include augmentation of lift water supply scheme from khudagi khad in Balichowki tehsil at the cost of Rs 5.77 crores, Rs. 1.51 crore lift water supply scheme from dhaun khad, Rs 1.60 crore PHC building at Kalhani, Rs. 1.54 crore PHC at Kholanal and Rs 50 lakh forest inspection hut at Kalhani.
Congratulating the people on this occasion Thakur said, “Opening of sub tehsil would facilitate the people and save them from travelling to Thunag for various works and water schemes would help in improving water supply in many panchayats.”
He said, “The seraj was one of the most remote constituencies and the state government has given priority to ensure development of the area; The road connectivity has improved after construction of 250 kms roads and PWD rest house would be constructed soon.”
The Chief Minister said, “The state government has taken a few tough decisions to check the spread of COVID-19 and no political function would be allowed, the number of people in social gathering has been restricted to fifty and people would have to maintain social distancing and wear masks”.
Addressing on the occasion Health Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal said, “Opening of health institutions would go a long way in providing better health services in the rural areas of Seraj.”
