The Himachal state Cabinet in its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur held on Friday decided to open all major temples and other religious places in the state from September 10 as per Standard Operating Procedure prepared by the State Language, Art and Culture department.
The cabinet also decided to continue with registration of people entering the State till September 15 and has reduced the quarantine requirement from 14 to 10 days. The District Administration would strictly enforce use of masks and social distancing in the field.
It also decided to supply pulses, edible oil, salt and sugar through the public distribution system on actual rates without subsidy to all income tax payers and flour and rice on APL rates.
The Cabinet decided to request the Ministry of Housing and Urban affairs, Government of India to sign Memorandum of Agreement related to Affordable Rental Housing Complexes Scheme with the aim to create affordable rental housing solutions for migrant and poor people.
The Cabinet gave its approval to open sub treasury at Nagrota Bagwan in Kangra district, open sub-tehsil at Bagachanogi in Mandi district, to fill up ten posts of class IV employees in Panchayati Raj Institutions department and transfer Gram Panchayat Kot from Police Station Shimla East (Chhota Shimla) to Police Station West (Boileauganj) in Shimla.
