NCC Corporal Diksha Kumari from Air Squadron NCC, Kullu, has made Himachal Pradesh proud by receiving the ADG Award (Guard Commander, Guard of Honor) for her outstanding performance at the National Republic Day Camp held in New Delhi.

Exemplary Performance at Republic Day Camp

Diksha, a student of Vallabh Government College, Mandi, set an inspiring example by commanding the Guard of Honor for several dignitaries during the camp, including Vice President of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, Chief of Defence Staff and Chiefs of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force

Flying Officer Dr. Chaman, in charge of NCC Air Squadron Kullu, stated, “Diksha Kumari’s achievement is a moment of great pride for Himachal Pradesh. Her dedication and discipline have brought immense recognition to the state’s NCC wing.”

Guard Commander for All India NCC Girls Contingent

Diksha was also entrusted with the duty of Guard Commander for the All India NCC Girls Guard Contingent during the Vice President’s visit to the camp.

Record Representation from Mandi and Kullu

This year, seven NCC cadets from Mandi and Kullu regions represented the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh Directorate at the National Republic Day Camp—five of whom were from the Himachal Pradesh Air Squadron NCC, Kullu, marking a remarkable achievement.

Additionally:

  • Sergeant Tejaswini Singh represented the directorate in the “Best Cadet” category.
  • Cadet Anshul and Sergeant Himanshu participated in the Prime Minister’s Rally at Cariappa Ground, Delhi.

The remarkable achievement of Diksha Kumari has been widely celebrated.
