Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nayab Singh Saini was sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Haryana for the second time on Thursday. . Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered the oath of office to Nayab Singh Saini as the Haryana CM in a function organized at Panchkula today.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several CMs of BJP ruled states, including Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath among others were present on the occasion.
BJP MLA Anil Vij, Krishan Lal Panwar, Rao Narbir Singh, Mahipal Dhanda, Vipul Goel, Shruti Choudhry and Aarti Singh Rao among others also took oath as ministers in the new Nayab Singh Saini cabinet.
Defying exit polls predictions and claims of Congress wave in Haryana during the Assembly elections, the ruling BJP secured a surprise hat-trick victory by winning 48 seats in the 90 member Haryana Assembly. Three Independent MLAs, including Savitri Jindal from Hisar, have extended their support to the BJP government.
After taking oath Chief Minister Saini said, “The people of Haryana have shown faith in the Modi government’s policies by voting BJP back in Haryana Assembly elections and our government will work for taking Haryana forward at a rapid pace under the leadership of PM Modi.”
