Former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has criticized the Congress led state government for not fulfilling the party’s guarantees given to people during the last Vidhan Sabha election.
Talking to media persons on Wednesday at Mandi, Thakur said, “The Congress party leaders are giving new guarantees to people but during the 15months rule the state government has not fulfilled any of its promises made during the last Vidhan Sabha election.”
He accused the CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri for spreading lies, which doesn’t behove well for the people holding the constitutional posts, the CM has not given details of Rs 55 lakhs recovered at Badsar.
Thakur said, “ They are saying the BJP will stop OPS for state government employees, which is also a lie and I assure the BJP do not work with vendetta; the state government is reducing the OPS from 50 percent of the last drawn pension of an employee from fifty percent to thirty percent and after the election this decision is going to be implemented in the state.”
“The state government has betrayed the employees by not giving them DA and other arrears, not giving Rs 1500 per month to women as no one even women from Lahaul have received it, 300 units free electricity not given to consumers, gobar buying scheme has been implemented, besides cheating the unemployed youth by not giving them jobs, despite promising one lakh jobs every year,” he said.
He also accused Congress leaders for an alleged attack on a BJP candidate at Kaza and blocking their path for half an hour.
Former CM also targeted the Congress government for allegedly stopping projects started by the BJP government for Mandi and said,” There is a move to close down Sardar Patel University Mandi and Atal Medical University Ner Chowk.”
