Former Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta has been appointed new Governor of Himachal Pradesh replacing Shiv Pratap Shukla, who has been shifted an as the new Governor of Telangana.
The Central government has changed many Governors on Thursday after which the President Draupadi Murrmu ordered shifting of several Governor including Kevidner Gupta and Shukla.
Gupta hails from Jammu & Kashmir and has served as a Deputy Chief Minister and Speaker of J& K state Assembly, before abrogation of Article 370 by the Central government.
