Police have booked Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Una, Vishva Dev Chauhan, on the complaint of a lady for allegedly ‘repeatedly raping ‘her by making a false promise of marrying her.
SP Una Amit Yadav has confirmed registration of an FIR against the accused – A Himachal Pradesh Administrative Officer on the basis of the complaint filed by the lady.
In her complaint, a national level player and a student alleged, “She and the accused came in contact through a social media site and she was invited to SDM office on the pretext of discussing sports issues; and on August 10, the accused SDM took her around and on entering his personal cabin the accused (SDM) allegedly raped with a promising to marry her.”
“ On August 20, the SDM invited her to local PWD Rest house , where he had booked a room on somebody else’s name and showed her a video in which the accused had recorded the act of August 10 and again allegedly raped her by blackmailing her,” the victim claimed .
The victim made a complaint to the National Commission of Women on August 28 against the SDM for her exploitation, after which the accused started threatening her to withdraw her complaint, alleged the victim.
The accused SDM has gone underground after registration of an FIR against him and was not available for his comment in the matter.
