The Manali police has arrested a tourist from Haryana for allegedly murdering his female friend in Manali, on Wedesday.
SP Kullu Gokulchandra Kartikeyan talking to media persons at Manali on Thursday said, ” A Haryana youth Vikas Thakur (23) was arrested last night near Kullu while transporting dead body of a girl in a bag in a vehicle. “
He said, ” The accused and the deceased Sheetal (23), a tourist from Madhya Pradesh had come to stay in a Hotel in Manali two days back ”
” While returning back the accused sought help of the hotel staff in loading the bag in vehicle which was quite heavy, which made the staff suspicious and informed the police”, he said.
Later, police tracked the accused and found him carrying dead body of girl in the bag, leading to his arrest.
The SP said ” The police is investigating the case from every angle. “
