Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with Hans Ran of Sunder Nagar – a beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojna, at the closing ceremony of Ujjal Bhavishya Power @2047 at Thunag on Saturday through video conferencing.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was also connected with the PM virtually on this occasion in Mandi district.

Under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav programmes organized throughout the country.
CMD SJVNL Nand Lal Sharma, Principal Consultant SJVNL Dr. M.P. Sood, MD HPSEBL Pankaj Dadwal and Mandi DC Arindam Chaudhary were present on the occasion among others.
Later, the CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones of development projects of Rs 59.26 crores in Seraj Assembly Constituency represented by him.
He inaugurated the Tourist Culture Center at Dheem Kataru, additional building of GSS Thunag and SE office of Jal Shakti department.
The CM laid foundation stone of 50 bedded Ayush hospital to be constructed at Dheem with the cost of Rs 30.20 crore, a Lift Irrigation Scheme and Flow Irrigation Scheme Bungrailchowk (Thunag).
The Chief Minister presided over the closing ceremony of the 4th phase of Jan Bhagidari se Sushasan- Himachal ka Maha Quiz based on the theme Tourism in Himachal’ organized at the Tourist Cultural Center, he said , “ The objective of this online Maha-Quiz is to take welfare schemes to people in order to expand the benefits .
He said, “The government has launched several programmes to tap the tourism potential of Seraj area to strengthen the tourism industry and various other projects would also benefit people of the area.”
