The Ministry of Culture and Sahitya Akadami are organizing an international literature festival Unmesha in Shimla from June 16 to 18.
The festival, being organized as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration would be held in Gaiety Theatre in which prominent writers like Gulzar, Sonal Man Singh, Kiran Bedi, Linda Hess, SL Bhyrappa, Chandrashekhar Kambar, Daniel Neggers, Surjit Patar, Namita Gokhale and Deepti Naval would be participating.
The festival will feature discussions, presentations, poetry recitation and story reading, covering different topics like “Cinema and Literature”, “World Classics & Indian Writing”, “Tribal Writings”, “Media & Literature,” and “Bhakti Literature”.
Bharatanatyam dancer Sonal Mansingh and other prominent artists would perform in the festival. Minister of state Arun Meghwal, Meenakshi Lekhi and Governor of Andhra Pradesh Biswa Bhushan Harichandan would also attend the function.
