Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said the Indian government is making every effort to bring back Indians stuck in Afghanistan.
Talking to media persons at Mandi on Saturday during his Jan Ashirwad Yatra the minister said, “We are using diplomatic channels to bring the Indians back from Afghanistan.”
Replying to a question Thakur said, “ Since sports is a state subject the onus of training players for the next Olympic games would be on state governments and the Central government with the participation of state government would ensure the players get best facilities and training to excel in every game.”
He said, “The union government is also roping in corporate houses for sponsoring games and schemes like khelo India and this would definitely attract young people towards the sports.”
Thakur said, “The overwhelming response received to his Jan Ashirwad Yatra is the result of love and affection of people of the state and good work done by Narender Modi government at the centre and Jai Ram Thakur government in the state.”
The minister also talked about several schemes launched by the Central government like Jan Dhan Yojna, PM Kissan Yojana through which Rs 1.75 crores were transferred to farmers accounts directly and other welfare schemes launched for different sections of the society.”
