Seven people lost their lives in tow different road accidents during the past twenty four hours in the state.
Five occupants of a car died on Monday night on Pathankot – Dalhousie road near Lahar (Dalhousie) in Chamba district.
SP Chamba said , “ Five occupants of the car were rerunning back from PGR Chandigarh after treatment of an infant , when driver of the car lost control over the vehicle an it feel into a deep gorge near Lahar on Pathankot – Dalhousie road on Monday night,”
“A police was party was immediately rushed to the spot for the rescue operation and bodies were sent for the postmortem,” he stated.
In another accident 2 people died when a truck fell while crossing a bridge in 53 mil on Pathankot- Mandi road on Tuesday. Manu Mahajan (39), a resident of Kaisthwadi (Nagrota) and Randhir also belonging to Nagrota Bagwan in Kangra district lost their lives in the accident.
