
The Himachal Pradesh High Court building at Shimla was evacuated on Thursday by Shimla police after an E-Mail was received in the High Court threatening to blow up the High Court Building.
The matter was reported to the police in the morning after the threat was received on the official website of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
The police, the security agencies, sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squad immediately swung into action.
However, after carrying out a thorough search no bomb or explosive was recovered by the search teams.
According to reports, the court received an email stating that an explosive had been planted on its premises, causing panic among staff and visitors.
In the past similar threats were issued through E-mail and the security agencies had investigated the matter.
According to reports the threat to blow up six courts in Punjab and the Patna court have also been issued on Thursday and security agencies are on the alert.
