Cement manufacturers have once again raised the price of a cement bag by Rs 5 with immediate effect in Himachal Pradesh.
The ACC cement company, now owned by Adani Cement has increased the price of Suraksha cement bag from Rs 390 to 395 and the price of ACC Gold cement bag has been raised from Rs 435 to Rs 440.
The price of Ambuja cement bag has been increased from Rs 400 to Rs 405 per bag and that of Ultra-Tech cement from Rs 395 to Rs 400 per bag.
A cement stockist said , “ All cement companies have increased the price of a cement bag by Rs 5 and now cement of all companies is being sold for Rs 5 costlier .”
The cement companies had reduced the price of cement bags after reduction in GST by the Central government from September 22, 2025 but has one again increased its price in the state.
It is notable, though many cement companies are manufacturing cement by using the state’s resources but cement is being sold at higher price in comparison to neighboring states.
Former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has condemned the decision to increase the per bag price of cement in the state.
In a statement he said, “Increasing cement prices repeatedly at such a time when a large number of people are still trying to build their homes and cow sheds destroyed during the last natural disaster in the state, it is inhumane to increase the cement price and demand roll back of cement price increase.”
