In a disturbing news for the state unit of BJP , the Solan Police arrested 80 years old Ram Kumar Bindal , elder brother of Himachal Pradesh state BJP President Rajiv Bindal, on the alleged charges of raping a woman in his clinic during her treatment .  

Superintendent of Police Solan, Guarav Singh said, “A 25 years woman registered a complaint in Mahila Police Station Solan stating that Ram Kumar, who is a Vaidya (ayurvedic doctor), allegedly raped her under the pretext of treating her”.

“In her complaint the woman alleged she had visited the Vaidya for treatment of an old disease; during her treatment her nerves were examined and she was assured to get rid of her problem, she was also shown a book and as her hand was held, her veins were pressed, asked about her sexual health and the Vaidya told that her private parts need to be examined to which she refused but was overpowered and raped in the clinic,.” the woman stated.  

The Solan police arrested Ram Kumar Bindal on the basis of the statement of the woman and preliminary  investigation.

State BJP President Rajiv Bindal said, “ Since my eighty years old brother Ram Kumar is a respected Vaidya and a devoted family man this could be a sinister conspiracy against our family .”
