At least twelve people died on Tuesday, when a private bus was hit by huge boulders after a landslide near Barthien at Balughat pul in Bilaspur district.
ADC Bilaspur Om Kant Thakur has confirmed the death of 12 passengers in the accident.
As per information the private bus was carrying about 35 passengers from Marotan to Ghumarwien under Jhandutta sub-division of Bilaspur district and was buried under huge boulders on Tuesday.
A police source said, “Eight bodies have been recovered so far, two girls have been recovered alive, the injured passengers are being taken to AIMS Ballarpur for treatment and rescue operation is continuing.”
