Himachal Pradesh goverment has appointed former senior IAS officer Tarun Shridhar to head a review committee constituted to suggest ways to improve the financial position of loss making Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC).
Shridhar, Himachal cadre IAS officer, retired as Secretary of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries department from the Central government and has held several important positions in the state government.
Considered a highly efficient administrator he headed HPTDC as its Managing Director from 2005 to 2007 when the corporation had earned profit. .
Shridhar has accepted the offer and agreed to work without getting any remuneration from the state government for his services.
