President of India Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday gave away medals to 2018 and 2019 Audit & Accounts Service Officers in the valedictory ceremony of National Academy of Accounts Services on his third day of visit to Shimla.
The President, who was chief guest in the ceremony, lit a lamp to start the ceremony and felicitated the IA&AS trainee officers.
First Lady of India Savita Kovind, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also graced the valedictory ceremony.
Earlier, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India Girish Chandra Murmu welcomed the President and other dignitaries.
Director General of National Academy of Audit and Accounts Sunil S. Dadhe presented a report on the activities of the Academy.
