Justice Sabina has been appointed Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court.
Her name was recommended by Supreme Court Collegiums on Tuesday evening. Acting Chief Justice of the Himachal High Court, Justice Sabina would be the second woman to head HP High Court as Justice Leela Seth, the first woman Chief Justice of India, also remained Chief Justice of Himachal High Court.
Born on April 20, 1961, she had started practicing in Punjab and Haryana High Court and was appointed Additional Session Judge in 1987 and Punjab & Haryana High Courts’s additional Judge in 2004 and a Judge in 2008.
She joined as a Judge of HP High Court in 2021 and would hold the post of Chief Justice till April 2023.
