The Mausam Vigyan Kendra Shimla has issued an orange alert in six districts of Himachal Pradesh from April 26 to 29, with a forecast of heavy rain in lower areas and snowfall on higher reaches .
As per weather report issued by the meteorology department issued from Shimla on Thursday, the western disturbances would again be active in the state from April 26 to 29 leading to hailstorm,and heavy rains in Shimla, Solan, Kullu, Sirmaur, Chamba,Kangra, Bilaspur and Mandi districts. Snowfall on higher reaches in these districts is also expected. An orange alert on April 27 has been issued for these districts.
High speed winds and light rain in several other parts of the state have also been predicted .
