Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has congratulated the State Police Department for being ranked as the second best in the country after Odisha in tracing kidnapping/abduction victims and missing persons, as per 2021 data of National Crime Records Bureau.
He said, “Himachal Pradesh is a peaceful state with very low crime rate as compared to neighboring states but the state government has strengthened the police force by equipping it with new technologies and gadgets which has helped in tracing criminals.”
He said, “Hundreds of posts of different categories have been filled up during the last four and half years for effective policing in the state and state government is committed towards their welfare.”
