Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said all roads closed due to heavy snowfall in the state have been opened and water and power supply restored in record time
He said, “All major district roads have been restored for vehicular traffic and efforts are being made to open link roads for normalizing smooth life; adequate men and machinery have been deployed to clear snow on the roads.”
He has also advised tourists and other vehicle drivers to drive carefully on slippery roads to avoid any mishap.
Heavy snowfall and widespread rain during the past few days had disturbed normal life as 1051 roads and six national highways were blocked at many places affecting nearly 5000 kilometres of road.
