President of India Ram Nath Kovind was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival at Shimla on Thursday. HP Governor Rajender Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Speaker of HP Vidhan Sabha Vipin Pramar and others welcomed the President on reaching Annadale helipad.
The President, during his four day visit to the state would attend a special session of Himachal Pradesh state Assembly on September 17, being convened to celebrate 50 years of statehood. .
During his four day tours of Himachal the President would also be chief guest in the valedictory ceremony of Indian Audit & Accounts Officers at the National Academy of Audit & Accounts on September 18.
