Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur called on President of India Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi to extend him a formal invitation to visit Himachal Pradesh and address a special session of HP Assembly to mark Golden Jubilee celebration of the statehood.

He informed the President the state government is holding a yearlong celebration throughout the state to observe fifty years of statehood which became a state on January 25, 1971.

The CM was accompanied by Vidhan Sabha Speaker Vipin Pramar.

Later, the CM also met the Union Finance Minister Nirmla Sitharaman and requested her to revive 100 milliond dollars ADB project to boost tourism in the state .
