Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to restore MLA Local Area Development Fund (Vidhakayak Kshetra Vikas Nidhi Yojna Fund) of Rs 50 lakh for 2020-21.

In a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Saturday it decided to release first instalment of Rs 25 lakh for each Assembly constituency in October and to release remaining amount of Rs 25 lakh after Panchayati Raj Institutions Elections.

 A presentation was made before the Cabinet on the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the State on October 3. The Cabinet also decided to install a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the Ridge, Shimla and entrust the job to famous sculptors Ram V Sutar and Anil Sutar.

 The Cabinet gave its nod to resume training in Industrial Training Institutes from October 1 by following guidelines of Ministries of Home Affairs, Health and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

 The Cabinet gave its nod to draft of MoU to be executed between the State Government and Temple Trust Chamunda for transfer of land for lower terminal point of Himani-Chamundaji Ropeway Project in Kangra district.

 It also gave its approval to fill up seven posts of Deputy Director in Sainik Welfare Department on contract basis, create 35 posts of panchakarma masseur, fill up 8 posts in planning department, rename Ayurveda department as Ayush Vibhag, grant approval for signing MoU with M/s HLL Life care Limited and Ayurveda department for up gradation of Ayurveda Health clinics to Ayush Health and Wellness Centres in the state.
