Shimla based senior journalist Anand Bodh passed away on Sunday morning at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Hospital Shimla.
Bodh (51) was working as Assistant Editor of Times of India at Shimla for quite some time.
As per a family source, “Bodh was taken to IGMC on feeling uncomfortable at night about at 1 pm after having a cardiac arrest but was declared dead by doctors.”
His last rites were performed at Bhuntar. Bodh was a native of Lahaul- Spiti and is survived by his wife and a son.
Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Secretary IPR Rakesh Kanwar among others have expressed deep condolences on the untimely demise of Anand Bodh.
The Governor highlighted Anand Bodh’s unwavering dedication to journalism and his remarkable ability to bring attention to crucial issues concerning Himachal Pradesh.
The CM in his condolence message said the sudden demise of Anand Bodh is a huge loss for the journalistic fraternity. He recalled Bodh’s long-standing service in Shimla and his roots in Himachal Pradesh, which gave him a unique perspective on the state’s issues.
The Governor and the CM prayed for the peace of the departed soul and expressed their deep sympathies with the bereaved family members.
