A fresh FIR has been registered against Churah BJP MLA Hans Raj under various sections of Bhartiya Nayaya Samhita (BNS) on Friday at Tissa Police station of Chamba district.
The FIR was registered after father of the girl, who had leveled serious allegations of harassment against the MLA, accused the MLA and his PA and one other person for allegedly taking him and his daughter forcibly to Shimla last year and forcing them to retract from his daughter’s statement in the court under duress leading to cancellation of earlier FIR against the MLA.
The girl and her father had recently accused the MLA for allegedly harassing their family and even getting their water connection snapped, which was restored with the intervention of CPM leaders.
An FIR was registered against MLA’s personal assistant and one another person on the charges of “ kidnapping and forcing the girl to retract from her complaint in the court under duress” , on Friday .
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu taking to media persons at Shimla said, “The earlier FIR against the MLA Hans Raj was cancelled on the basis of statement of the girl in the court; however a fresh FIR was registered against the MLA on the basis of allegations by the victim against the MLA in a video and complaint of Taj Mohammad, father of the girl, the state government would act in the matter as per Law, “CM added.
MLA Hans Raj has been denying the allegations terming these as a “part of political conspiracy to tarnish his image “.
