Though there has been respite from rain in Himachal Pradesh for the past two days after a weeklong wet spell, the Indian Meteorological Center Shimla has issued a yellow alert for Mandi, Hamirpur, Kangra and Bilaspur districts predicting rainfall during the next 12 hours at isolated places.

The IMD center has asked people to drive cautiously as visibility is likely to be reduced in these districts.

It has also issued a yellow alert of rainfall  for the state from September 12 to 14 predicting moderate to heavy rain in isolated places of the state.

The traffic on Kiratpur – Manali National Highway has been restored after several days of disruption; traffic for small vehicles has also been opened on Bharmour – Chamba road.
