Flash floods after cloud burst in Nagwain and Takoli area of Mandi district on Sunday morning have caused extensive damage to houses and the National Highway.
While the slush and mud has covered a large area at Takoli market, the Kiratpur – Manali National Highway has been damaged near Nagawain and the traffic towards Manali has been diverted via Katuala – Kamand road .
According to a report , “ The cloud burst over the hill flooded the adjoining mullah leading to damage to property and the NH, the walls of AFCON construction company have been damaged due to flash floods, after which all employees working in the building had to vacate the place.”
The officials of Mandi district administration and the police are helping locals in rescue and restoration work,
