The Larji Dam authorities have issued an alert for people living down streams of river Beas as all spill-way gates of the Larji reservoir would be opened from 6 am on June 29 to June 30 , 6 am annual flushing of the Dam.
“ During this period all gates of the reservoir would be opened and water would be released in river Beas as per operational requirement, warning hooters will be sounded and announcements will be made through vehicles mounted with public address systems to warn general public,” it said .
The authorities have issued an alert for the general public, tourists, and project workers and strictly advised everyone to stay at a safe distance from the banks of river Beas during this period. .
