Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu addressing a public meeting at Karsog on Thursday in support of Congress candidate Vikrmadiya Singh took a dig at BJP leaders by saying, “A film of a flop director is bound to flop even if the actress is a super star.”
The CM said, “It is good thing Kangana has become a superstar by working hard in the film industry but she did not render help during the monsoon disaster in the sate when her colleague actor Aamir Khan silently donated Rs 25 lakh.”
Targeting former CM Jai Ram Thakur, the CM said, “He managed a ticket for Kangana Ranaut to wriggle out because he did not want to contest against Vikrmaditya Singh.”
Praising Vikrmaditya Singh the CM said, “He knows the pain of people and did relentless work during the monsoon disaster to mitigate the miseries of people.”
Making a scathing attack on the former CM, the CM quipped, “Previous CM kept sleeping for five years and after getting defeated by voters he tried to grab power with the help of money power and took dissident MLAs to places to destabilize the state government.”
The CM also narrated several measures taken by the state government for welfare of people. Vikramaditya Singh also addressed the public meeting.
