The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) organized an impressive road show and Vijay Sankalp rally at Gandhi Chowk Hamipur on Saturday in support of BJP candidate from Hamirpur parliament constituency, Anurag Thakur.
Addressing the rally former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said, “I am witnessing such a huge crowd at Hamirpur for the first time which indicates affection and blessings of people for Anurag Thakur, signifying sixth win for him with a record margin.”
Criticizing functioning of the Congress government in Himachal, former CM said, “The 15 month old Congress government has proved to be most inefficient and ineffective; its slogan of system change is turning into chaos.”
He said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the country has progressed in every field and there is need to strengthen his hands by winning all four seats from the state; there is strong possibility two BJP government’s i.e. one in the Center and another in Himachal would be formed after June 4”, he added.
Addressing the rally Anurag Thakur said, “BJP is the party which has not forgotten the promises made in 1950 and fulfilled all its promises like removing Article 370, building Ram Temple and abolishing triple Talaq etc and committed to work to take the country ahead while keeping in mind the welfare of people.”
He highlighted various development projects brought for Hamirpur constituency during his tenure.
Attacking Congress leaders, Thakur said, “We built Ram temple but some leaders of Congress and its allies are saying they will build mosque again and talking to crush Sanatan but no one destroy it and attacked the party for making false promises .”
BJP president Rajiv Bindal also addressed the rally.
