( Rescue team trying to pull out buried people near Hatkoti)

Four persons have died and 12 others were injured in three different accidents in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday.

 Two persons travelling in a Bolero jeep were buried under huge boulders after a landslide in the afternoon on Hatkoti – Tueni road in Rohru subdivision of Shimla district, near Sanel.

SDM Jubbal, Rajeev Sankhyan said , “ Huge boulders hit a Bolero jeep no HP 10- 2308 and two occupants of the jeep Bishambar (50) a resident of Palkan under Rohru subdivision and Satish (52) of village Ghara lost their lives after getting buried under the boulders.”

He said, “The police with the help of PWD staff made efforts to pull them out of the rubble but their lives couldn’t be saved.”

In another incident two young men died when the car in which they were travelling fell into a deep gorge near Kayartu under Theog sub division of Shimla district on Sunday.

A police source said, “Abhishek (23) a resident of Kandi village and Ankush (25) of Shoshana village died on the spot in the accident while Daleep (25) and Lalit (24) were also injured in the accident and are being treated in civil hospital Theog.”

In yet another accident ten bus passengers travelling in a HRTC bus were injured when the bus carrying 25 passengers overturned near Ghyal village in Bilaspur district in the afternoon.

Seven of the seriously injured were taken to AIIMS Bilaspur for treatment and three others are being treated at CHC Markanda.
