Mrs. Geeta Kapur, Director (Personnel) of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN), has assumed the charge of Chairman –cum- Managing Director (CMD) of the SJVN after superannuation of former CMD Nand Lal Sharma.
Mrs. Kapoor has marked a historic milestone as the first female to lead any Hydro CPSE within the Indian Power Sector. Prior to this, she made history in 2018 as the first full-time female Director in SJVN and was also the first female Personnel Officer to join the company.
While assuming the charge, she expressed her gratitude to all the previous CMDs for their exemplary leadership and extended her best wishes to the SJVNites for adorning the leadership role in future also.
She is serving SJVN for more than 31 years in Human Resources, Civil Construction and Civil Contracts and is also serving as Chairperson of the SJVN ‘CSR Foundation Trust ’.
Born on April 8, 1964, in Shimla, Mrs Kapoordid her early schooling from Loreto Convent Tara Hall, BSc from St. Bede’s college and MBA from HPU Shimla .
