Former Director General of HP Police (DGP) Sanjay Kundu got a relief from the Supreme Court of India as the Apex court asked the HP High Court to hear his reassigning petition and stayed his transfer orders.
Kundu had moved the Apex Court against his removal from the post of the DGP and appointing him Secretary of Ayush department on the directions of HP High Court on Tuesday.
The counsel of Kundu had filed a petition in the Apex court pleading the HP High Court did not give an opportunity to Kundu to place his version in the High Court.
The Apex court has asked the HP High Court to hear the petition of Kundu and directed the State government to stay his transfer orders.
