The Hamirpur police have booked five members of a family under Bhoranj police station for allegedly chopping hair of a lady and blackening her facea few days back.
SP Hamirpur Akritii Sharma said, “This incident had come to her knowledge through social media wherein family members of lady were seen chopping her hair and parading her in the village, after which I along with SHO Bhoranj went to inquire about the incident.”
“The police have booked five persons in this case under section 451, 355, 354A and other sections of the IPC and investigation is on in the case.”
Meanwhile media advisor to HP Government Naresh Chauhan said, “Five persons have been booked by the police and strict action would taken after the investigation in the incident.”
