Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Shimla has issued a yellow alert of heavy to light rainfall for eight districts of Himachal Pradesh.
In a daily weather forecast issued by the IMD heavy rain is expected in Shimla, Kullu, Kangra, Mandi, Bilaspur, Kinnaur, Chamba and Lahaul – Spiti districts of the state during the next twenty four hours.
Heavy rain is likely to occur in these districts accompanied by strong winds, light rain is also expected at isolated places in other parts of the state.
Several places in the state experienced heavy to light rain on Saturday with fog.
The lowest minimum temperature of 11.2 degrees was recorded at Kukum- Seri in Lahaul – Spiti district on Saturday while the highest temperature of 27 degrees was recorded at Ponta Sahib.
