BJP state media in-charge, MLA Randhir Sharma, has demanded resignation of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu as the state government has failed on every front.
Talking to media persons at Mandi on Monday Sharma said, “The BJP had been demanded CBI probe in the death of HPPCL Chief Engineer Vimal Negi and a High Court order handing over investigation to CBI had vindicated the BJP’s point of view, the party welcomes CBI probe in Vimal Negi case,” he stated.
He apprehended, “ Allegations of corruption in HPPCL and HPSEBL leveled some time back had pointed out irregularities in two power projects i.e. Kadchham – Shongtong and Pekhubella; since Pekhubella solar power project was built at a higher cost of Rs 100 crore then a similar project executed in Gujarat , allegations of alleged corruption were pointed out about the project.”
Sharma accused , “ Vimal Negi , involved in execution of Pekhubela solar power project, was under constant pressure and many questions are still unanswered about his death; as to why postmortem on his body was conducted at AIIMS Bilaspur before arrival of his relatives , why names of MD and Director (Electrical) was not included in FIR initially” ?
“It is quite surprising no comment about the High Court order on CBI probe has come from the state government and if a fair probe is ordered truth will be unearthed about the real reason behind the death of Vimal Negi, ” Sharma said.
