A 4-year-old girl, Ashmita, tragically lost her life, and four women were seriously injured in a fire incident at Bayankua under the Paonta Sahib subdivision of Sirmaur district, Himachal Pradesh, on Thursday.
The police reported, “The fire broke out in the afternoon in a junkyard where a migrant family from Saharanpur was living. A 4-year-old child was burnt alive, and four women—Omvati (50), Suman (22), Sunita (40), and Kamlesh (45)—sustained serious injuries in the incident.”
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and the police are investigating the matter.
The injured women have been admitted to Civil Hospital, Paonta Sahib, for treatment.
