Ashish Vaidya, a lad from Mandi has brought laurels for the town and Himachal Pradesh by getting four patents in the United States for his innovative ideas in artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI.
Hailing from Mandi town, Ashish Vaidya working as Principal Engineer at Alexa Audio, Amazon, USA has made significant contribution to the field of engineering and recently been given four intellectual property rights (patents) for Collaborative Decision Making, System Configuration Optimization, Screen Area Determination and Link Correction Systems.
He has made significant contributions to the world of technology, excelling in innovation and intellectual property. His expertise includes an array of technological domains including enterprise operating systems, file transfer protocols, apps for mobile and wearables, advertisements, language translation, large scale distributed systems in cloud and advanced AI technologies.
Ashish’s story is one of resilience and brilliance. A graduate of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mandi, he graduated from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkalin 2008 and started working with Novell Inc and earned his first patent.
Later he joined Amazon and shifted to the United States and worked for significant projects of Amazon like Prime Video, Social Media Ads and Alexa and is now technical leader for Alexa’s Audio systems which enable Music, Radio, Podcasts, and Audio books, besides handling millions of user requests daily.
Ashish’s contributions have earned him notable recognitions as Senior Membership in IEEE (2024), Fellowship of the British Computer Society (2024) and Top Programming Voice on LinkedIn.
Reflecting on his journey, Ashish Vaidya credits much of his success to the formative years spent in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
