Ajay Kumar Sharma has assumed the charge of Director (Personnel) of Satluz Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVNL) on Thursday.
The Public Enterprises Selection Board had recommended his name for the post of Director (Personnel) and his appointment has been made by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet of the Central government.
On assuming the charge Sharma said, “I am honored to take up this new role and look forward to work for SJVNL’s mission of achieving sustainable growth and excellence in the Power Sector.”
He will be overseeing company’s Human Resource Functions, Legal function and will also head CSR Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the company.
He is working for the company for over two decades after joining it in 2009 and was holding the position of General Manager, Corporate HR and was as also awarded People Choice SJVN Star Award twice for exhibiting exemplary leadership for motivating the team.
He hails from a small village Khargat in Sihunta subdivision of Chamba District, had his early education in his village school and did his mechanical engineering degree from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore.
