Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to allot 780 MW Jangi –Thopan Hydro Power Project to HP Power Corporation. The allotment of the project earlier given to SJVN Limited was canceled last year for delay in implementing the project by the state government.
The Cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu held at Shimla on Friday also decided to allot 1630 MW Renukaji and 270 MW Thana Plaun Pump Storage Hydro Electric Projects also to Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd.
The Cabinet constituted a sub -committee headed by Health Minister Col. (Dr.) Dhani Ram Shandil for strengthening Rogi Kalyan Samitis.
It authorized the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog to announce the results for Post Codes 903 and 939, while keeping five posts under Post Code 903 and six posts under Post Code 939 vacant, pending the final outcome of the court proceedings.
It also approved the elevation of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Solan as the apex institution for school and teacher training at the state level and also strengthen 12 District Institutes of Education Training.
It was also decided to extend the benefits of the ‘Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Rin Yojna’ to eligible meritorious students aspiring to pursue professional and vocational courses at overseas educational institutions. Under this scheme, the state Government offers educational loans at an interest rate of one percent.
The Cabinet gave its nod to set up 50-bedded Critical Care Blocks at Civil Hospital Dehra in Kangra district and Civil Hospital Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur districts and open offices of Superintending Engineer of HPSEBL and Block Medical Officer in Dehra.
It decided to fill up 100 vacant posts of Assistant Forest Guards in the Forest Department, 33 posts in Printing and Stationery Department, open a police station at Sissu, and fill up six posts in police post Hatli.
The Cabinet also decided to fill up two posts of DSPs, One post of Dispenser in District Jail Mandi, 10 posts in the office of Advocate General and six posts of Medical Officers.
