The Congress MLA from Kutlehar Assembly constituency of Himachal Pradesh Vivek Sharma was allegedly attacked by two bike riders near Hoshiarpur in Punjab, on Thursday evening, said a police official .

Vivek Sharma said, “Unidentified people attacked my car with a rod and broke its rear windshield; the incident took place when I was coming to my native village.”

The MLA’s driver gave chase to the attackers but they managed to escape. An FIR has been registered in the case.
