One person was killed and three others injured after a Bolero Camper was hit by a huge boulder near Datyar on Parwanoo – Solan National Highway at about 3 am on Monday morning.
The Bolero Camper no PB 08CP-9686, carrying bundles of a Hindi newspaper published from Jalandhar was on its way to Shimla from Jalandhar, when the accident occurred.
SP Solan Gaurav Singh said, “A landslide brought huge boulders with it on the National Highway and the Bolero Camper was hit; Dev Raj (40), a resident of Phagwara lost his life in the incident and Kuldeep Singh (40) from Garhshankar, Vandana Sondhi (43) and her son Bhavuk (23) from Jalandhar, were injured.”
The injured have been admitted to ESI Hospital Parwanoo.
“The Police was informed about the landslide by a passerby and a Police team rushed to the spot immediately,” SP said.
