Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to conduct screening tests for those posts through HP Public Service Commission, which couldn’t be conducted by Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur.
The Cabinet meeting held at Shimla on Monday and presided over by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu also decided to start land acquisition process for expansion of Kangra Airport and extend the runway to 3010 meters for operating A- 320 type aircraft.
It also gave a nod to guidelines for Mukhya Mantri Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana -2023 to enable poor students a loan facility of up to Rs 20 lakh at one percent interest for pursuing professional courses and Ph.D.
It was also decided to constitute a Cabinet Sub Committee comprising Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh and PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh to look into the issues pertaining to SMCs and Computer Teachers.
The Cabinet decided to constitute a four Lane planning area committee to control unauthorized construction on Parwanoo –Shimla, Pathankot – Mandi, Kirtapur – Manali and Shimla – Matour National Highways.
The Cabinet decided to open Government Degree College at Tauni Devi, Police Post at Chowki Bir, grant lease to HP Bus Stand Management and Development Authority for constructing workshops at Joginder Nagar and Dharamshala.
