Three police officials including Station House officer (SHO) of Nadaun have been suspended by the Superintendent of Police (SP) Hamirpur, after being found in inebriated condition during an inspection by the SP.
SP Hamirpur Dr. Akriti Sharma said, “During a sudden inspection of Nadaun Police Station on Tuesday night SHO Nadaun Yog Raj Chandel and two officials-Besari Lal and Satinder Kumar were found in inebriated condition.”
She said, “I have been getting complaints in this regard and went to Naduan Police Station for a sudden inspection and found the SHO and officials drunk; they have been suspended with immediate effect and sent to police line, while departmental inquiry has been initiated in this case.”
Nadaun Assembly constituency is represented by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in HP Vidhan Sabha.

Good decision, but the wrong impression lies there that since the area falls under the Chief Minister, the officials are suspended, whereas the image of the Police Department is not good in Himachal Pradesh. It needed complete overhauling to make the police a friendly force.
