Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to make part time panchayat chowkidars completing 12 years of service as daily wage employees in panchayats.
The meeting presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur thanked Prime Minister Narender Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for giving tribal status to Hatti community living in Trans-Giri area.
It decided to create a new Sub –Division Office (civil) at Sunni, open Forest Division (Wildlife) at Janjehli, upgrade Police Posts Ladhbadhol and Pandoh to Police Stations and rename one college library as Dr Bhim Rao Aambedkar District Library.
It also gave its consent to open Government College at Baranda under Nurpur Assembly constituency and open Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya in village Panjalag and take over SD Sanskrit College Chamba.
Approval for opening Civil Judge Court in Padhar and Dharampur in Mandi district, opening PWD Sub-Division at Kapahara ( Bilaspur district) ) and filling up 13 posts in Police Station Brahmpukhar was given by the Cabinet .
It also decided to establish State Fund for Control of Drug Abuse, create 10 posts of superintendents in CMO offices, open Primary Health Centers (PHCs) at Summer Hill, Subathu, Bhareri, Thatal –Jangal, BMO office at Bahli Chowki, upgrade Civil Hospital Theog and PHC Matiyana and open health Sub Centers at several places and upgrade several schools.
