
Former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition, Jai Ram Thakur said,” The Mandi Municipal Corporation belongs to the BJP and the party will continue to hold the MC after the election too “.
Talking to media persons at Mandi on Monday Thakur expressed confidence that BJPs will once again be victorious in the ensuing Mandi Municipal Corporation election.
Criticizing the state government he said, “The Congress government in the state has consistently discriminated against Mandi district, and people of Mandi are determined to punish the Congress in the election by giving a decisive verdict.”
He said , “ During the tenure of the previous BJP government in the state Rs 15 crore were sanctioned for the development of Mandi town but the present government after coming to power withdrew this fund giving a blow to the development here and now people would definitely punish the Congress in the MC election for the injustice .”
Thakur accused , “ The people across the entire state are severely distressed by the state government’s three-and-a-half-year tenure and even certain Congress leaders have started accusing their own government from public platforms’, he advised the Congress government to heed the warning signals and mend ways .”
During this interaction, Jai Ram Thakur also issued a stern warning to officials, cautioning them against acting in violation of established rules merely to appease the ruling party.
