Him Academy Public School, Vikas Nagar, hosted a state-level Academic Dialogue on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy in collaboration with Omega Publications in which school heads, coordinators, and around 35 educators from various districts participated.
Director of the school, Pankaj Lakhanpal said, “T.R. Sharma, Chief Editor, Omega Publication was the chief guest of the programme and in his address he shared valuable insights on strengthening early education and enhancing foundational learning outcomes”
Chairman of the school R.C. Lakhanpal, Vice Chairperson, Chandra Prabha Lakhanpal, Academic Principal Himanshu Sharma, Principal Naina Lakhanpal, Director Pankaj jLakhanpal, and Vice Principal Ashwani Kumar were present on the occasion.
In one session Dr.Himanshu Sharma in her talk explained the National Education Policy (NEP) and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), besides highlighting competency-based learning.
The discussion emphasized key aspects such as phonemic awareness, reading readiness, and the creation of joyful and engaging classroom environments, complemented by practical, classroom-based strategies.
A major highlight of the event was the formal launch of a structured workbook series and the “Ready to Read Phonics App” by Omega Publications, designed to support systematic phonics instruction and provide research-based learning material for teachers and students.
